What are 4D Number Plates?

4D Number Plates are like Standard Number Plates, except the letters are individual blocks (made of acrylic) which raises the digits by 3mm. It gives it a distinct cornered look. 

What are 3D Gel Number Plates?

3D Gel Number Plates are made of a polyurethane resin and gives the digits a shiny, domed look. 

 

Are 3D/4D Number Plates Legal? 

Yes. 3D/4D Number Plates are 100% road legal and MOT friendly so long as they adhere to the official DVLA guidelines.

At South West Number Plates, we ensure that your 4D Number Plates are made and produced in-line with DVLA guidelines and are legal for road use.

Can I order to collect?

Yes, you can collect your orders from Henleaze, Bristol. Please contract us directly to let us know once the order is placed. 

How long will my order take to arrive?

All orders are shipped via Hermes, free of charge.

Hermes aim to have your package delivered within 2-4 days and provide a tracking number. 

Next-day delivery is available for an extra £4.99 at checkout. Please note for same-day dispatch, order would have to be placed before 10am. 

I have special requests; can you include them in my order?

If you have any special requests (such as borders, custom slogans, etc), please give us a call on 07365 297 761 or message us via any social media platforms and we will discuss those details with you.

Can I change the spacing on my Number Plates?

If you would like to order Number Plates with custom letters/spacing (also known as Show Plates), please select Show Plates on our product page or give us a call on 07365 297 761. Please note, Show Plates are illegal for road use.

As mentioned by the DVLA, Number Plates must display your vehicle registration number correctly if the vehicle is to be driven on UK roads (this includes spacing). Police may issue a fine of up to £100 if stopped.

Show Plates are usually intended to be used in car shows, photoshoots, decorations, etc.
